The Saas-Fee property boom
The European Geosciences Union have stated that if our trend of polluting emissions continues, the Alps could lose 70% of their snow cover by the end of the century. Constraining the skiing season from 6 to 5 months at lower altitudes already, investors are turning their eye to higher resorts...and Saas-Fee.
Last year, annual chalet price increased by 14% in Saas-Fee, compared to the second fastest Swiss Alp resort at 7% growth in St Moritz. Double the investment bolds well for the village's future.
We've witnessed major development occurring in Saas-Fee in the last year with the demolition of former hotels into luxury apartments allocated to foreign buyers. All this investment allows the resort to invest in infrastructure such as renewing ski lifts and opening up more fantastic skiing terrain.
