TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTY

The Client shall maintain the accommodation, fixtures and effects in the same condition and state of cleanliness as at the commencement of the holiday and shall leave the property with all keys and accessories in accordance with the inventory. Any damage caused by the Client to the apartment, its contents or any part of the chalet building must be reported to the Owners or their agent immediately and replaced or paid for at the time of the incident. Whilst routine final cleaning is provided, the Owners shall be entitled to recover the cost (estimated if not precisely known) of any additional cleaning or damage caused by the Client including the value of any consequential losses. A good housekeeping deposit will be refunded in full within two weeks of departure providing the apartment is left in the same state as it was found.

2. COMPLAINTS

We hope that you will never need to complain, but if so, then you must inform us immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. Otherwise, it will be assumed that the apartment and contents are in good condition and as described by the Owners.

3. BEHAVIOUR AND CONSIDERATION FOR NEIGHBOURS

The Client undertakes to behave in an orderly fashion and not to disrupt other occupants of the chalet or to prejudice the Owner’s reputation with other apartment owners, suppliers or service providers. The Client hereby accepts the house rules and will allow the Owners or their agent access to the property at any time. Children must be supervised in the Wellness Area, and proper consideration must be given to others using the facilities. The holiday let of any Client in breach of this clause shall be terminated forthwith and the owners shall have no further contractual obligations. Immediate vacation of the property may be required in such circumstances.

4. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT

The apartment will be available no earlier than 4 p.m. on the day of arrival and no later than 10 a.m. on the day of departure other than by special arrangement.

Bookings are subject to written confirmation on receipt of a fully completed booking form. The person who signs the booking form shall be liable for that booking and full payment for all guests named on the form. The apartment may not be occupied by persons other than those specified on the booking form.
The booking is subject to receiving a deposit worth 20% of the rent. Likewise, the balance payment is payable six weeks before arrival. Bank transfers to be made in Swiss Francs payable to the account referenced in the booking form.

5. ALTERATION OR CANCELLATION BY THE OWNERS

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking, you will be offered an alternative week (or weeks) of an equivalent value or a full refund. Please be aware that the Owners reserve the right to cancel the booking with no obligation to refund if the full balance payment is not received by the due date. If we cancel for reasons beyond our reasonable control, the Client will not be entitled to any compensation. Otherwise, compensation of CHF 200 will be paid if cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks before arrival or CHF 100 if cancelled more than 2 but less than 6 weeks before arrival.

6. CANCELLATION BY CLIENT

We do not provide cancellation insurance cover. You are liable for the payment of the full rental and all charges on cancellation. However, should you need to cancel your holiday please contact us in writing immediately and we will attempt to re-let the property. If successful, a refund will be paid after deduction of a CHF 100 admin fee. The Client will not receive a refund if unsuccessful.

Due to Covid-19:

Guests will be eligible for a refund only when in lockdown and prevented to travel across the booked dates. The refund is valued at the nightly rate for each day travel is restricted. A 100% refund will be offered when a travel restriction results in or below a 3 night stay.

If guests can travel within the guidelines as a result of lockdown and choose not to travel, a refund will not be offered. If guests have booked as more than one household and at least one household is prevented to travel due to lockdown, a refund valued at the share of the number of household’s prevented to travel will be offered up to a maximum of 50%.

No refund shall be offered in result of mandatory self-isolation. Under these circumstances, you must recover the funds via your travel insurer.

7. INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking that all Clients have travel insurance including cancellation, medical, winter sports (if applicable) and third party cover. Your personal belongings and any ski or hired equipment is your sole responsibility. We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance on confirmation of your booking.

8. CHILDREN

Due to the design and extensive use of old wood in the apartment, we do not feel it is suitable for children under 6 years old. Guests are wholly responsible for the safety of their children and the Owners accept no liability for any accident involving a child who is less than 6 years old.

9. SMOKING AND PETS

Smoking within any part of the apartment and the chalet building including the balconies and common areas is strictly forbidden. Sadly, we cannot accept pets.

Please bring slippers for use in the apartment and robes if you plan to use the Wellness Area. Skis, ski boots, snowboards, sledges, pushchairs and other such equipment should be stored in the ski/boot room in the basement. Obstruction of the corridor outside the apartment is to be avoided.
